Amusement Park
“A Gothenburg institution, the Liseberg Amusement Park is a true family favorite. Thrilling rides and rollercoasters, regular concerts, and a wonderful Christmas market make this a popular attraction with locals and tourists. Around 40 different attractions and rides, such as AtmosFear, the tallest free fall ride in Europe, and the award-winning wooden roller coaster Balder along with the internationally praised Helix and Valkyria steel roller coasters will keep you entertained for hours. On the Liseberg Wheel, you'll be treated to terrific views over the city and there's also good food, music, games, and hundreds of thousands of flowers in bloom during the summer months.”

“Slottsskogen is a place for relaxation, recreation and outdoor activities. The mix between planned park and natural forest creates a fantastic environment for everything from running to cosy picnics. In and close to the park are cafés, playgrounds and much more. Much of the park is given over to natural parkland with native trees such as linden, beech, maple and various species of oak. The Dawn Redwood and stately Serbian spruce are a few examples of the more exotic plants on display. The azaleas are not native but have become famous in Slottskogen. The petting zoo and pony rides are open from April to September. The park zoo is open all year round and the admission is free. Slottsskogen also hosts events, big and small, throughout the year. One of the main ones being the music festival Way out west. ”

“Sightseeing along the canals of Gothenburg. Step aboard the Paddan sightseeing boats in the centre of the city at Kungsportsplatsen. See the old moat and canals that date from the 17th century while learning about the history of Gothenburg’s construction and defence.”

Sanat Galerisi
“The turquoise bridge is one of Gothenburg's most popular landmarks on Instagram. Under it on the land side is an art gallery called “Röda Sten Konsthall”, named after a big rock painted red on the shore. Röda Sten art center is situated in the old boiler house in the harbor inlet. It's an alternative arena for contemporary art in all its forms. The art center almost always has exhibitions worth a visit and often a solid program with workshops and more. The restaurant serves lunch on weekdays, featuring three new dishes daily and one of the options is always vegetarian or vegan. On Sundays, don't miss the popular Meat Free Sunday brunch. Booking is recommended, and double check opening hours on the website. Various club nights are hosted here on some Fridays and Saturdays, take a look at their social media. The other side is an island called Hisingen, where I grew up but it’s so big, 199 sq. km with 130 000 people on it, that you forget it’s actually an island sometimes.”

“Take tram number 11 towards "Saltholmen". Here you can hang out on a hot summer day with your friends on the cliffs by the sea, take a swim or grab something to eat. You can also take the ferries "skärgårdsbåtarna" from here and you can get off at any island and stay there during the day or stay there over a night or two at smaller hotels and B&Bs. ”
