“In Spanish “granja” means farm, and in Barcelona a trip to Granja M. Viader means you’re in for a chocolate treat. At Granja M. Viader, guests can order up churros and melted chocolate, a classic Spanish treat. Granja M. Viader isn’t just a sweet shop. It’s also a historic site, dating back to the mid 1800s when it did in fact operate as a farm in Barcelona. If it’s a hot day and warm thick chocolate sounds too intense, try one of the milkshakes. They’re just as thick the melted chocolate but will still cool you off.”

Süpermarket
“One of the largest grocery stores in the immediate downtown area that is located on the Rambla Catalunya. Part of the large French chain, much of the space is dedicated to "read-to-eat" food ( stir-fry, cut fruit, wraps, sushi, sandwiches, empanada) for tourists since it is located directly on the Rambla (close to Plaça Catalunya) but you can find anything you need here since the space is large and there is a downstairs with more "regular" items like sauces and pastas. They are closed on Sundays. ”

“Much more than a neighborhood bar and bottle shop. The only thing that matters here is beer. Try their wide variety of bottled beers, or one of their occasional house beers, if it happens to be on tap. They also have three hand pumps, which few bars in Barcelona have. The crowd’s a mix of neighbors, workers from the nearby 22@Barcelona innovation district, and visitors in the know. The owners Quim and Angie have been promoting beer culture since 2009 with activities such as La Fira del Poblenou, celebrated on the first weekend of July, which gathers 50 brewers and food trucks along Bogatell Beach. It’s a classic during the Barcelona summer!”
