Make yourself at home in the living room.
Make yourself at home in the living room.
  • The bedroom is larger than most in Manhattan. Plenty of space and privacy.
  • Make yourself at home in the living room.
  • Lots of morning light, but the block-out blinds keep the room pretty dark, as well.
  • A traditional East Village walk-up on a tree-lined street above a neighborhood bar and next to a coffee house, great for mixing with locals, day or night. We're on the second floor (first floor, European), so not too many stairs (most other East Village apartments will involve anywhere from three to seven flights of stairs; yikes!). If you have a lot of luggage, I'm happy to help you move it in.
  • Help yourself to my desk if you have work to do.
  • There's even an air mattress, which I'll set up if you have a third guest. Not many rooms in Lower Manhattan have this much space.
  • Cute little cafe table. Ideal for laptop working while drinking coffee.
  • I'll provide towels, washcloths, and most toiletries you'll need. Iron, clothes steamer, and hair dryer too (not shown).
  • Down comforter and queen-size bed.
  • The room receives great morning light. Between the closet and the dresser, you have plenty of space to unpack your clothes. Make yourself at home. Don't live out of your suitcase!
  • I'm addicted to foreign languages. I'll always have at least one dictionary out.
  • My favorite chair. Great place to drink a morning coffee while watching the squirrels scurry up the fire escape.
  • On the day you checkout, you are welcome to leave your bags at my place as long as you want. Your last day in New York should be spent sightseeing, not waiting in line at a dreary Midtown luggage storage facility. And you'll save some $$$.
  • Breakfast nook.
  • Full kitchen. You cook? Show off those knife skills.
  • All the tools your inner chef requires.
  • Help yourself to anything in my kitchen and wake up your inner chef.
  • Dear, Aussies. I have Vegemite®. Repeat. I have Vegemite®.
  • I always keep the bathroom clean. It's a shared bathroom. My schedule is flexible in the morning, so there are rarely any conflicts.
  • Fully Marble Bathroom that was recently renovated. The shower has strong pressure and very hot water!
  • You shred? Grab one of my longboards and cruise the neighborhood.
  • Here's a neighborhood map showing my location on the border of NoHo. Shown also are Metro stops, CitiBike stations, and restaurants I'd recommend for a food crawl. Note that most apartments listed in the East Village are much farther east, and therefore significantly farther from public transportation.
  • The living room also gets plenty of light and has an Apple-TV, cable TV, and wi-fi!
  • The living room is air-conditioned and is very comfortable!
