Welcome to this stylish, little jewel of tranquility, centrally located flat in the bohemian west end of Glasgow. The flat itself has a maximum capacity for 2 adults but is also suitable for a family unit e.g 2 adults & 2 children.
The sandstone, category A listed building is around 150 years old and it has been recently restored to reflect its grandeur of the past.
The 180 year old Botanic Gardens are 100 yards away and there are close-by transport links to the city centre.

The main building has a grand entrance with 150 year old cornice still in place and which was recently and sympathetically restored with gold leaf and burgundy walls, in keeping with the popular Victorian colours of the time.
The burgundy and gold theme continues up the two ‘townhouse’ flights of stairs, then a wee quirky spiral, half flight of stairs, which totals approx 60 steps and equal to 4 ‘regular house’ flights. (I like to think of the stairs as burning off some of my indulgent extra calories from the day. 🤪 🍺🍷🍕)
The ultimate reward is a very peaceful attic flat, which guarantees a refreshing sleep and is priceless in such a vibrant location.

The flat has an open plan living area to give guests flexibility and individuality and to maximise the the natural light available.

As I mentioned at the start, the flat has a maximum capacity for 2 households and a maximum of 2 adult guests. However, having young children myself, I feel the flat is also ideal for small families with the children able to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, which also has blackout blinds.

There are brand new hardwood floors throughout the property and most sockets are equipped USB’s. It is eco friendly flat, in that all heating and lighting are provided by renewable sources and no CO2 is produced, therefore is has a zero carbon footprint.

There is truly modern ambience throughout the whole property starting in the spacious double bedroom, there is a brand new pocket sprung mattress on the bed with comfortable mattress topper and cool grey bed linen. Within the bedroom, there is a walk in cupboard, a massive chest of drawers and plenty of storage and hanging space.

In the large airy, open plan living area there is a brand new sofa bed. There is also a extra large Smart TV, which has Netflix and IPlayer, a DVD player and dvds, board games card games and not to mention a super fast WiFi connection, with an average download rate of 67Mbps.

The kitchen has all the usual amenities, superbly finished off with high end fixtures and fittings such as granite work surface, integrated coffee machine, Smeg appliances and bar preparation area. We provide an initial, one off, guest Breakfast Box which should last you a good few days. For a list of its contents, see below under ‘other things to note’.

The bathroom has fluffy towels and a re-energising and powerful rainfall shower with local Scottish soaps and toiletries.

There is also a small utility/office area which is packed with children’s games, (Glasgow monopoly, being a personal favourite), a remote control car, puzzles, books, maps, and children’s activities to keep everybody happy.

The stunning space is quiet, calming and ideal both in terms of location and amenities to recharge your batteries after a busy day sightseeing.

The west end neighbourhood is vibrant and has every possible way to socialise. From its selection of many parks, public cycle hire scheme, river walkways, open air concert venues, theatres, museums, art gallery, historic university, a Michelin starred restaurant, quirky outdoor and indoor restaurants and cafes, pubs, and boutique shops.
The flat is situated centrally within all of these amenities and really count be in a better location.

Hi, we have lived in Glasgow all our lives, apart from a brief spell living in Ireland and NYC. We love living in the west end as it’s close to all the major tourist attractions and has a great social vibe. Living in Glasgow, means that you can catch a train to Edinburgh - to perhaps to enjoy the major event of the summer, the Edinburgh festival, or to Loch Lomand - to enjoy a boat trip or climb a hill, or even to Largs - to enjoy the sea side and get a famous “fish tea”, all in an hour or less. I love to go to the theatre, the Edinburgh festival, swim, ski and eat out. I know Glasgow and surrounding areas well. We have 2 weans (kids) so we are always on standby offer advice for things to do with kids as well as the best restaurants/pubs, to try out.
