This sunny 2BR unit, named "The Mamas", is one of two private adjoining units in this property. Watch the Bay from your breakfast table in this happy groovy bohemian time capsule of 1960s Cherry Grove. This historic polished gem is the perfect retreat for an authentic stay on Fire Island. The Mamas is located in the middle of Cherry Grove, the world’s first gay town. By day you can relax on a wrap around deck and watch the parade go by on Bayview Walk – and by night you can watch the glowing spires of the majestic Belvedere from your quiet bedroom window. You are minutes to bars and restaurants but far enough away from the late night weekend noise to make your stay as relaxing as possible. A five-minute walk from the beach. Furnished with new and vintage pieces and period artwork. Bedroom one has a queen size bed, and bedroom two has two twin beds. Original hard wood floors, cable, wifi. Brand new beautiful private outdoor shower comfortably fits two to four, a new grill, and shared washer and dryer located on the deck (shared). The half bath is the outdoor shower, the one toilet located inside of the unit.
