The Florida School of Woodwork is a remarkable place of craft, where students of all ages and experience levels learn how to design and build furniture, carve and turn on a wood lathe. The School is led by Kate Swann, a nationally known craftswoman who has designed and built unique custom furniture for thirty years.

The groups are small (10 - 12) so you will get lots of guidance and help - don't worry if you haven't done this before, we'll show you how! Be prepared to have fun laying out your boards and learning how to glue them up, before taking a break for lunch at one of the local eateries. …

The School's beautiful, light filled workshops are in a renovated building from the 1920's and is equipped with absolutely everything an aspiring woodworker could ask for - in fact the School as been called "visionary"!
