If you have ever wanted to be able to make your own jams to last you throughout the year, this day with Liz, picking, cooking and preserving your own delicious set of jams to take home and share, is for you.
Based in the pretty village of Baldwins Gate, your host, Liz will welcome you to Chota Kothi in the morning for tea and coffee before heading out to one of our local PYO farms. We will be picking strawberries, raspberries and blackberries depending on what is readily available at the farm. After a couple of hours picking fruit for the jam we will head back to Chota Kothi, for a light vegetarian lunch.
Liz will show you how to prepare the picked fruit to make the jams and sterilise the jars. While the jam is cooking, we will make delicious scones, and prepare the labels.
Once the Jam has set and poured into the jars, and the scones are ready, we will serve high tea in the garden, to complete your day. The jam we have made will be shared among the group so you can take your delicious jam home with you.
