This experience takes place in a luxurious private home with a large open-plan loft-style industrial kitchen, dining room, living room with 20-foot ceilings. The house was originally built as a bakery in 1890.
We will light the grill together, and you will make the chimichurri. We then go exploring along cobblestone streets admiring some beautiful street art on our way to the butcher to pick out the meat and the wine shop to get the wine.
NEIGHBORHOOD HISTORY AND STREET ART
We will visit a beautiful wine shop with a private garden where we will have a sampling of wine and a brief description of that wine. We then head back home, but not before stopping to get the bread. Along the way, we learn about Palermo Viejo, its history and its most famous resident.
FERNET, WINE, AND STEAK!
Back at the house, we will share a Fernandito with appetizers and talk about its place in Argentine history. We will set up the salads in a professional industrial kitchen. We will go over all the cuts that are on the grill and you can ask our grill master all of your questions regarding asados while he grills the steak in our outdoor grill, and enjoy one of the best meals of your trip together.
You will also get to try a unique and authentic way of drinking mate that few people know about, but that is authentic to where it's from.
