This experience is for anybody who has ever had an interest in sailing. There is no experience required. Each guest is encouraged to participate as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Our beautiful Hunter 33 yacht has ample room, facilities and covered cockpit in case of weather. We will meet you at the dock and after you settle in, review safety equipment location and discuss basic safety when participating as crew.
You will learn basic sail trim and have a chance to steer (helm) the boat!
Enjoy the beauty of the Bedford basin and learn a little history of Halifax and it’s Navy heritage. We will have snacks and beverages aboard.
Let’s get ready to have some fun on the water!

Based In Halifax, NS, I am an ASA (American Sailing Association) Advanced Cruising instructor as well as a Sail Canada Instructor and Royal Yachtmaster Ocean. Aside from my own extensive offshore crusing experience that took me from British Columbia to Europe, I have extensive experience as a sailing instructor in the Med and Caribbean. Sailing is my passion and I look forward to introducing you to the magic of cruising around beautiful Bedford Basin in Halifax.

This was an awesome experience, we spent a beautiful, sunny day sailing around the Bedford Basin and learning so much about sailing and sailboats. Tony is an excellent host and it felt like we were hanging out with one of our friends for the afternoon while "learning the ropes" and listening to his incredible experiences. There was great conversation and lots of laughs!

The trip with Tony and company was extremely fun and educational. Having no sailing background, Tony does a fantastic job engaging each party with a hands on role with thorough explanations. If getting involved isn't your cup of tea that's fine, this experience itself is worth it strictly for the breathtaking views you'll only experience from being out on the ocean.

Book this now! Do not miss this experience. An incredible afternoon on the water aboard a beautiful 33ft sailing boat cruising around Bedford basin with Tony. Wonderful to learn the basics of sailing from someone who is exceptionally good at what they do and are clearly passionate about it. Tony is very friendly and personable and we were made to feel very welcome. We learned a lot in our short time and felt like we were hanging out with a friend by the end of the day.
