We will meet close to Wawel Castle where we will set up the bikes and have a chance to get used to them before setting off. From there we will join the relaxed cycle path that runs along the Vistula River. A gentle ride as we leave the city limits and head west for around 40 minutes. We ride through the beautiful countryside by the river and among the rolling hills and forests. We ride along the top of the levies that protect the surroundings from flooding and have now been converted to cycle paths. We pass little country cottages for locals as well as a Third Reich castle built during the war. We will arrive at the Benedictine Monastery of Tyniec where you will have the chance to look around the cloister as well as the ornate Rococo style basilica. A chance to visit the museum and cafe where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding area with a tea of coffee. The Benedictine shop offers the chance to buy craft products of all kinds to take home. We will then join the cycle path on the opposite side of the river where another 45 minute cycle towards Krakow and past Wawel Castle. We will continue on towards Kazimierz where we will show you some of the best views of Krakow and hidden spots for locals. The ride will then end where we began.
Since moving to Poland five years ago Max has been exploring Krakow and beyond by bicycle. "I have written and photographed my adventures for a blog and hosted guests from all around the world through my bike touring company. Frustrated that the majority of these trips could only be done by people with high fitness levels; I was excited by the prospects of electric assist bikes that make the hardest bike rides easy for a person with average fitness." Co-host Piotr grew up in Kraków and has spent most of his life discovering his hometown by bicycle. Co-host Adam is a keen cyclist and has spent time when not studying a law degree as a local guide in Kraków. The monastery in Tyniec sits majestically on a limestone cliff above the Vistula river with views of the area all around. The castle-like building has been home to the religious order since 1044 and now the monks invite you to come and experience their monastic life.

Electric bicycles are as easy as riding a normal bike, except they take all the hard work out of it. There are no complicated actions, you just pedal as usual and the motor adds a little extra power!
