Sicilian chef Francesco, co-founder of Cucina Migrante, invites you for a fun FARM-TO-FORK creative cooking class (farmers market tour plus cooking class), inspired by the Mediterranean diet, noted for being one of the healthiest in the world. In this interactive and spontaneous class, you will have the opportunity to visit the coolest farmer’s markets in San Diego with our chefs, learn how pick out the best and freshest ingredients for the dishes, and meet the chef's favorite local farmers. We will take into considerations everyone's dietary restrictions and food allergies when choosing the ingredients. After spending about 45 minutes at the market, the class regroups in the Chef’s kitchen, to cook three delicious and improvised dishes from scratch with all the goodies from the market. You will learn the fundamentals of creating delicious and simple dishes with a few fresh and seasonal ingredients. We'll serve a welcome aperitif, and offer wine/beer/beverage tasting during the culinary experience and you are welcome to bring your favorite beverage.
