We will start with an introduction, in which I will do a quick history of the Stroopwafel and an explanation of the kitchen utensils that we will use.
We will proceed with making the two components of the Stroopwafel, which is the caramel filling ('Stroop') and the cookie ('Wafel'). I will explain the recipes for caramel and the cookie, after which you get to make these yourselves.
Next part is to make the cookies, which requires baking the cookie in our waffle iron. After it has been baked, we will fill the cookie with our caramel filling. We repeat this process a couple of times and show some nice and tasty variations for the caramel filling.
The last part we will focus on making our own edible self-created souvenir. We will provide you with your own Stroopwafel cookie jar so you can take your own Stroopwafels back home. You get to make your own favorite variations to take home. The small ones get to decorate their own Stroopwafels. The not so small ones can also join of course!
